The scene when Charlie Sheen arrived for his "Piers Morgan Tonight" interview

With less than 10 minutes to go before "Piers Morgan Tonight" went live on the air, Charlie Sheen still had not arrived at the CNN LA bureau last night. His car pulled up, out came his friend Tony Todd and assistants Rick Calamaro and Stacey, and just a few minutes later he was on the air talking to Piers Morgan.

"Well the whole world's going to watch this," he said, to which Sheen responded, "I hope so."

Having just been cancelled by CBS executives for the rest of his “Two and a Half Men” season after a radio rant attacking the show’s executives, Charlie Sheen, 45, boosted Piers Morgan show ratings last night.

It was the best ratings since the show launched. The Sheen interview drew 1.35 million total viewers.

Sheen was also interviewed by Jeff Rossen on the yesterday show. Sheen said it is his live-in girlfriends, a porn star and a young model in their twenties he calls “the goddesses” that gives him all the support he needs.

“These women don’t judge me,” Sheen said to Rossen. “They don’t judge me. They don’t lead with opinion. They don’t lead with their own needs all the time. They’re honest enough to tell me, ‘Hey, look, you — you know, park your nonsense. You gotta help me solve this.’ And we solve it.”

Sheen didn’t seem worried when asked about his publicist Stan Rosenfield quitting after some of the controversial interviews Sheen has been giving.

Sheen reassured his fans. “Don’t be worried. Celebrate this movement. And I love [you] and I’m so grateful that you’ve supported me and the show for so long and I will not let you down, trust me.”
